Aleksi Glick is virtuosic guitarist and composer who draws inspiration from a wide variety musical genres. His distinct musical voice and presence provides for a captivating listening experience.
Aleksi is a graduate of the Peabody Conservatory, where he held the Charlie Byrd Memorial Guitar Scholarship. While at Peabody, he was the guitarist for the Peabody Jazz Orchestra from 2007-11, during which time he worked with several renowned musicians including John Abercrombie, Uri Caine, and Steve Wilson.
Since moving to New York in 2011 Aleksi has played with many of the cities most esteemed musicians. As a band leader Aleksi leads the much buzzed about funk and soul band called Snack Cat as well as his own jazz trio.
Aleksi has had the opportunity to play and Record with with Snack Cat, Roberta Flack, Jersey Boys (NY), The Seth Weaver Big Band, Paul Bollenback, Richard Saunders (of Third Story), Erena Terakubo, Alita Moses, Vic Juris, The Kelly Bell Band, Ed Cherry, Benny Bennack III, Adam Larson, Peter Bernstein, Michael Levine, Bailen, The Silver Arrow Band, Alex Goodman, Gracie Terzian, Generations, Andrew Gould, Sam Dillon, The Brighton Beat and many more
Aleksi has been the guest artist on The Musicians show on WKCR and has done many other radio and television appearances, including on major networks such as NBC and Fox. He has also composed and played music for both television and film. Projects include guitar performance on the upcoming Lego DC Super Heroes: A Case of the Mondays and composition for Comcast SportsNets EMMY and TELLY winning series The Journey.
As a concert presenter, Aleksi founded and directs the concert series Newer Sounds at Hostelling International NY. Showcases and The Summer in The city Festival. He also has helped with the booking for many of NYC’s top music venues and has presented at APAP.
